Living in God's Spaciousness

ME

Spaciousness is where I keep the things that don't need to defend themselves next to each other. A photograph from a walk that meant nothing except that the light was good. A line of scripture I'm still turning over and haven't resolved. A doubt I'm not trying to fix before I write it down. A morning that was just quiet, and stayed quiet, and that was enough.

For a long time my writing lived somewhere else — inside books, inside critique, inside the question of whether it was good enough to publish. Somewhere in there, the writing itself went undercover. This is me bringing it back out, for no reason other than that I want to.

I'm a clinician, a mystic, a scribe. But this isn't any of those jobs. This is just the room where I'm allowed to be in process — solitude, surrender, stillness, and whatever real life hands me on a given day. No conclusions required.

If you're here, there's room for you too. Come and go as you like.
